Mission Statement -

Called by God through Jesus Christ our Savior, Partners-in-Mission (PIM) of the Texas Annual Confer-ence of the United Methodist Church is committed to mission by proclaiming, serving and wit-nessing in love the Gospel of Jesus Christ through hands-on mission work projects to persons in need throughout the world.

Our Purpose -
PIM believes that Christians are truly called to missions by God through Jesus Christ. Volunteers serve all people in all places what-ever the circumstances or need. Whether we are a few blocks from home or in another country, PIM seeks to radiate the love of Jesus Christ and serve Him with gladness. We do not go just to complete a project, but we go to joyfully serve Christ and express Christ's love by all that we do while on the mission.

The Mission Store is a part of the Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is organized, maintained, and de-livered to church functions by Jo Ann Lund of Houston. The items for sale in the Missions Store were purchased by Part-ners in Mission Teams while on mission experiences all over the world.

The focus of the Mission teams is to share their talents and love of Christ by working with the local people to help them build a local church, parsonage, clinic, houses or to lead vaca-tion bible school. By purchasing items from the local people at the work site, teams are in-creasing the economic base at the village level.

The store exists to raise money for “second mile” mission, which is over and above the Partners In Mission budget. So far, money from the Store has gone to purchase supplies to build bunk beds and building supplies for various projects. Store funds have also paid for ship-ping costs of mission supplies.

With cultural items from places like Central America, Africa, the Caribbean, Alaska, and Four Corners, the selection not only tells the mission story but helps build the mission facilities of the church all over the world.
These items, when on display at your Mission functions, enhance the spirit of missions for all participants. Each item has a story to tell, and in many cases Jo Ann can “tell” that story.

he store “Travels” all over our Annual Conference at the invi-tation of your MYF, UMW, Mis-sions Committee for District missions gatherings, confer-ences, retreats, and so on. If you are interested in setting a date with the Mission Store at your next function, please con-tact:
